Puzzle 5: My Child

★☆☆☆☆

Find these French words in the grid. Only the dark part of each entry is hidden; words run in any direction. Say each one once before you circle it.

Say-it cues are English-friendly spellings, as in the book: read each one smoothly. ~ marks a nasal vowel (let the air flow through your nose, no n sound); ü is ee said with rounded lips.

Questions about Parents & School

Is it written for a particular school system?

No. It teaches general school vocabulary and does not cover any one school system, form or policy.

Is this book large print?

Yes. Every puzzle uses a 12×12 grid with large-print letters, on 8.5 × 11 inch pages, and the cover is marked Large Print.

Are the answers included?

Yes. The book has an answer key with every solved grid, so you can check your work.

Do I need to know French already?

No prior study is assumed. Every French word appears with its English meaning and an approximate pronunciation cue, and puzzles get gradually harder from one star to five.

Are there songs to go with it?

Yes. Each book in the series has its own set of companion songs, bilingual and built around that book’s vocabulary. The songs are created with generative AI under human creative direction. Scan the code inside the book to listen.
