    Questions about the reading cards

    Who are the reading cards for?

    Anyone learning to read French: kids just starting to read, and adults starting from scratch or building on what they already know. The lessons are short and simple either way.

    What does a lesson look like?

    Each card teaches one sound. You see the sound, practice it in a few words, then read it in a short sentence. Quick, simple, and it adds up fast.

    Which level should I start with?

    Start with Level 1 if you or your child are new to reading French. Move to Level 2 once simple words come easily, to build on that with trickier sounds, small words and longer sentences.

    Do I need both levels?

    No. Each level works on its own. Most people start with Level 1 and move to Level 2 when they are ready for more.

    What size are the cards?

    Each card is 3 × 4.75 inches (about 7.6 × 12.1 cm). Every level has 70 lesson cards.

    Can I use the cards without the word search books?

    Yes. The cards and the books work independently. The books build everyday vocabulary with English beside each French word; the cards build the skill of reading French aloud.
